Building Performance Institute (BPI)

This independent, not-for-profit organization develops national standards for residential energy efficiency retrofit work.

Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (National)

Guild member Home Performance Contractors participate in the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program, which builds on BPI standards. This national program from the U.S. EPA and U.S. DOE is sponsored locally by the Energy Trust of Oregon.

Performance Tested Comfort Systems (PTCS)

PTCS is a certification program for residential heat pumps and duct systems. It is sponsored by the Bonneville Power Administration based on recommendations made by the Regional Technical Forum regarding the best practices for high performing HVAC systems

Oregon Energy Conservation Programs

Clean Energy Works Portland (CEWP)

Clean Energy Works Portland began as a pilot program with the goal of helping 500 qualified Portland homes finance and install energy efficiency upgrades. The program is now poised to move out of its pilot phase. It will also expand to other locations in Oregon.

Energy Trust of Oregon

Energy Trust of Oregon is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Oregonians benefit from saving energy and tapping renewable resources. It provides services and incentives to customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, and Cascade Natural Gas.

Oregon Residential Energy Tax Credits

The Oregon RETC program provides credits on Oregon income taxes for homeowners who install qualifying products or measures.

State Home Oil Weatherization (SHOW) Program

The SHOW Program serves Oregon households that heat with oil, propane, kerosene, butane, or wood. It provides cash rebates for installed weatherization and heating measures.
